User Privacy Choices

This page explains the privacy choices available to Heirloom users.
You can use this page to understand and exercise choices related to account data, recipe content, communications, device permissions, and advertising sharing.

1. Your Choices in the App
A) Account choices
You may update or correct certain account information in the app where supported.
If you need help accessing, correcting, or deleting account information, contact us at:

B) Recipe and content choices
You control the recipes, photos, notes, and other content you add to Heirloom.
Where supported, you may edit or delete your recipe content directly in the app.
We do not sell your recipe content, and we do not share the content of your recipes, photos, or messages for advertising.
C) Advertising choices
Heirloom may share limited purchase-conversion data with advertising partners to measure our advertising, create or update advertising audiences, and reach people who may be similar to our users.
This limited data may include:
- a SHA-256-hashed version of your email address;
- the purchase or trial event;
- the purchase amount;
- the product ID.
Advertising partners may include Meta, TikTok, and Google.
A hashed email helps protect your plain email address, but it may still be considered personal information. Advertising partners may use the hashed email to match the event to an account on their services.
We never share the content of your recipes, photos, or messages for advertising.
You can control this sharing in the following ways:
- On iOS: where available in your installed app version, you can allow or decline tracking when prompted through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can also change this anytime in
Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. If you decline tracking, we will not share this advertising-measurement data for that user. - Through this privacy choices page: use the available privacy choices form or control, where provided.
- By email: contact
support@heirloomrecipebox.appwith the subject line “Do Not Share My Info” and include the email address on your account. We will exclude that account from advertising sharing and advertising audiences. - Through browser-based opt-out preference signals: where technically supported and required by applicable law, we will honor valid opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control.
Until the app version with device tracking-permission gating is available and installed, advertising-measurement sharing may operate under a notice-and-opt-out model. During that period, you can opt out through this page or by emailing us.
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using or sharing data for advertising measurement, custom audiences, or similar advertising purposes. You may withdraw consent at any time through your privacy choices or device settings.
2. California Privacy Choices
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
Heirloom does not sell personal information for money. However, our advertising-measurement and audience activities may be considered “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
You may opt out of this sharing at any time.
To opt out, you may:
- use the privacy choices control on this page, where available;
- email
support@heirloomrecipebox.appwith the subject line “Do Not Share My Info” and the email address on your account; - use your device tracking settings, where available;
- use a valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, where technically supported and required by applicable law.
We will process opt-out requests as soon as reasonably feasible and as required by applicable law.
3. Email Choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
Even if you opt out of promotional emails, we may still send transactional or service-related messages, including messages about:
- your account;
- purchases or subscriptions;
- customer support;
- security;
- policy updates;
- legal notices.
4. Device Permission Choices
You can control device permissions through your device settings. These may include:
- photo access;
- camera access;
- notifications;
- tracking permissions;
- other device-level permissions.
Changing device permissions may affect how some app features work.
5. Account Deletion and Data Requests
You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information by contacting:

Please include enough information for us to verify your account and process your request.
Depending on your location, applicable law may provide additional rights, including the right to appeal a privacy-rights decision.
